Punjab United Football Academy

Punjab United Football Academy

NEW for September 2022: The Football Academy provides a two year professional, structured programme of coaching, strength and conditioning, sport science and video analysis to allow players to develop at an elite level. There is a heavy emphasis on skill development and teaching players how to play the modern game. Over the two years we aim to teach our athletes how to play and understand a variety of systems that will allow them to succeed wherever they go after the Academy, wether this be University, Semi or Professional teams.

Performance Programme

The varied weekly programme provides a variety of activities, balanced with the players’ academic commitments. Alongside daily training sessions, players will have training sessions every day, with up to 3 sessions some days. Additionally there will be 3 opportunities to gain coaching and officiating qualifications. A typical week includes:

  • 4 Academy training sessions

  • 2 strength and conditioning sessions

  • 1 classroom/video session

  • 1-2 Academy games

  • Opportunities to play 1st and Reserve team football
