Just a little longer to wait...

Year 12 Induction Day - Friday 3rd September

If you've enrolled to join our Sixth Form we are very excited to welcome you to our Year 12 Induction Day on Friday 3rd September. We have some great activities lined up and we are delighted you have chosen NTC as your Key Stage 5 learning pathway. Please take note of the following details in order to prepare yourself for the Induction Day.

Please register for two Lateral Flow Tests on Wednesday 1st and Friday 3rd September. Both tests must be taken on-site at NTC from 9.00am. Please take a note of the time you should arrive for your flow tests on both days, according to your surname:

9.00am: Surnames A – F

9.15am: Surnames G – L

9.30am: Surnames M – R

9.45am: Surnames S - Z

On Wednesday 1st, you'll be free to go home after your test. On Friday 3rd, our Induction Day will commence at 10.15am, once all tests have taken place. Therefore, do ensure you arrive on time for your test. Please note that you shall be taking part in practical activities, so we ask that you do not arrive in business dress but instead wear casual clothing to enable you to be as active as possible. Trainers would be a good choice of footwear.

Lastly, food will not be available for purchase on site. Therefore, please bring a packed lunch and drinks to get you through the day. On Friday 3rd, the day will end at 2.00pm.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you!

The Sixth Form Team

We are really disappointed we weren't able to welcome you into our Sixth Form before the summer, but it won't be long until you can start the next stage of your educational journey with us.

Over the next few weeks our Sixth Form team will be posting further information on these pages to give you an idea of what to expect in September. You can already find information on the courses you've chosen via the links below, including video introductions from the teachers leading these subjects.

I know the team has planned an exciting first day of activities for our new Y12 students on Friday 3rd September, so do make sure you have it on your calendar. We'll post final details here before the summer, but for now, I and the team wish you a restful summer and look forward to meeting you in September.

Our Pathways to Success

This diagram shows the different routes through our Sixth Form (click to download a larger version), and we have a pathway designed for those from all starting points.

For those not yet ready for Level 3, we have a Level 2 Progression route that feeds into our Level 3 courses as part of a three year programme. Our other pathways are designed with particular future routes in mind.

In all cases, our students have a Learning Coach and dedicated Independent Careers Advisor on hand to offer advice throughout your time with us.

How do we compare?

The last DfE published data was in 2019. We're proud to say our students outperformed all other local Sixth Forms in terms of student progress.
